Less than a year after Stonewall, this issue of COME OUT provides a small insight into the horror and injustices faced that the majority of the public did not see during that period.
Come Out was the first periodical published by the gay and lesbian community after the Stonewall riots in June, 1969. The Gay Liberation Front, one of the first militant activist gay rights organizations birthed by the riots, published Come Out! from their base in New York City.
There are very few copies of this publication available for public view.
It would be an injustice not to share this with those who want to learn and see that this battle continues and that we can not regress as a society allowing prejudice, hate, and ignorance, to win.
