So Now What?
The strange collectibles that give us security, comfort, and joy...
Some people just can't understand why someone would spend thousands of dollars on a rusty old piece of metal with some painted letters on it, and then actually brag about it to other individuals, who then offer more for that rusty old piece of metal.
Welcome to collecting!
First comes awareness...
You're watching a program, you're listening to a song, you're reading a book, and something as simple as an illustration, a reference to a certain product, referencing a period or certain past event, and your mind says "HAPPY!"
A few weeks later your out and you see something that once again triggers that "HAPPY!" feeling in your mind, and you realize there is a similarity and connection.
Next Comes Justification...
You have now made the connection that whatever it was, a thing, a time, a look, it made you happy and you want something, just one little thing, so you have a way to achieve that Happy feeling whenever you need to. So you now go out and find it. Then you obtain it... PRECOCIOUS....
"I NEED MORE!"
Of course it makes you HAPPY! And happiness is so hard to come by these days. And when I got this one I remembered there was a similar one that seemed familiar to me and I should get it because two is better than one!
Well, you can pretty much guess the next chapter...
We will continue shortly
So what is a "Buyers Premium"?
In auctions, the buyer's premium is a charge in addition to the hammer price of an auction item, or lot. The winning bidder is required to pay both the hammer price and the percentage of that price called for by the buyer's premium.
The buyer's premium percentage varies by auction house and can be as high as 30%.
Our current premium is 20% and that is a great deal for auction buyers!
What is included when you purchase an item at Scott Daniel's Auction is
FREE IN-HOUSE packing of items.
DISCOUNTED SHIPPING of items.
Just in case you didn't know, the online platforms charge fees for both using the platform and a percentage of what sells.
